It can fund business development services such as market analysis and business plans, but self-employment is not a separate stand-alone program (policy effective 2008, revised 2009).
- Medicaid: Alaska expanded Medicaid, so the new work requirement applies to expansion adults: 80 hours or $580 net a month, and hours on your business count. The federal start date is 1 Jan 2027, but the Alaska Department of Health says it has asked the federal government for more implementation time. If that is approved, the rules will start later and recipients will be notified.
